Talky - Smart dishes in a connected kitchen
Project in 2017 at AHO, Oslo (Norway)
In 2017 Samsung presented its Smart Kitchen Family announcing a near future where kitchen appliances will be smart and self-governing. TALKY is a range of smart dishes acting like the messenger between your food and your smart appliance.
These bluish rounded products are equipped with an electronic brain. Built in to the white logo, the technology is made deliberately visible from the user.
This brain enables the TALKY products to scan and send the information of the content to every smart kitchen appliance as seen in this animation. By facilitating communication, the most appropriate cooking function is selected. Therefore electricity is used efficiently and the food is cooked at its best.
There are different sizes for different uses. tall is more suitable for boiling, short for frying and drink for a small liquid quantity.
Since 3D printing have become a viable manufacturing technique, these objects are printed with graphene, which is a single layer of carbon atoms arranged into hexagonal structures. It is the strongest material ever tested and conducts heat and electricity.
Safe for use with all kitchen appliances: freezer, induction, dishwasher, etc.
The colour blue is not often used in the kitchenware. This way TALKY is clearly distinguishable.
Here is a funny presentation video, making fun out of the teleshopping programs, to present the TALKY range:
